Several years ago I decided to pursue studies in international relations. This decision was inspired by the fact that I was raised in a vivid multicultural environment. I completed a Bachelor in international relations and diplomacy, with honours, at the University of Economics, Prague. During that period, I co-founded and was actively involved in a student organization aimed at improving diplomacy students' knowledge and personal skills and I also participated in several other non-governmental projects. The common denominator of the projects was active citizenship and human rights in a globalized world.

I sincerely believe that respecting and protecting each other's human rights is the key to a peaceful and functional international system. I also believe that the right way to achieve such a goal is by understanding international relations and diplomacy. Therefore, I applied for the Master in International Affairs at the Graduate Institute in Geneva, one of the most distinctive international relations programs in the world, to further deepen and expand my knowledge.

I am extremely grateful to the Fondation Zdenek et Michaela Bakala for awarding me with a scholarship that will allow me to join the Master program in International Affairs of the Graduate Insitute in Geneva. I hope I will be a decent student and I am determined to completely fulfil the potential and possibilities I have been given.
