I graduated from HEC Lausanne in June 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Management. I completed the first two years of my curriculum in Switzerland and the last year of my degree in Taiwan as an exchange student. During my studies in Lausanne, I won a start-up pitch competition organized by Deloitte, a multinational accounting and professional services firm. I was awarded an internship with that company, which I performed during the summer 2014.

Following my graduation, I decided to take a gap year to enrich my resume with solid professional experience. I started a six-month internship with Credit Suisse in the International Wealth Management department where I helped high-net-worth clients based in the Middle-East manage their investment portfolios. For the second part of my gap year, I interned with the Boston Consulting Group in Geneva, a world-leading management consulting firm. My job consisted of helping the CEO of a multinational company define and implement a new business strategy.

During my studies, I realized that I wanted to learn more about corporate finance. For this reason, I decided to pursue a Master in Financial Analysis at the London Business School. The location of the school and its worldwide reputation were key elements of my decision to study finance at LBS. The program will expand my knowledge in company valuation, capital structure, mergers/acquisitions and restructuring.

I thank the Fondation Zdenek et Michaela Bakala Genève for its generous financial support. I can now achieve my ambition to attend the Master’s degree of my choice in one of the world-leading business schools. I am really looking forward to starting this unique and life changing experience.
